Due to a spate of recent negative media reports about QuestNet India and its business in the state of Maharashtra, the company wishes to clarify the misconceptions created by various parties with vested interests and refute the baseless allegations against the company and its business model.
Network Marketing Business Model
Network marketing is a legitimate business opportunity that allows individuals to earn an income that is commensurate with their efforts. This is not a “get-rich-quick ‘’ or ‘quick and easy money’ scheme. Through its marketing arm, QuestNet India, a wide variety of products such as commemorative medallions, watches and vacation packages are retailed and every customer purchasing a product can avail themselves of a business opportunity to become an independent business representative (IR).
IRs are introduced to the company’s products, services and business plan by other IRs who have availed of this opportunity. The company holds intensive training programs and business development sessions for customers wishing to benefit from the business opportunity where they are advised on the policies and procedures, the business model, the compensation plan, and the proper and ethical practices of building this business. IRs who take up the opportunity, in turn build their own teams where these sessions
are then conducted and are advised to emphasize that the opportunity involves running an independent business and is not an offer of employment and the company does not guarantee any income that is not commensurate with the time and effort put in by the IR.
Misrepresentation
Customers purchasing a product or availing the business opportunity are fully aware of the terms & conditions. Hence, the question of “inducement” or “cheating” does not arise to involve and implicate QuestNet India into a “criminal case”. No one can be forced to buy a product against his will nor can anyone sell any product ion his own. All transactions are conducted online on the company’s web portal by the purchaser himself by either using his credit card or by issuing a DD in the company’s name. IRs are
not employees or agents of the company.
However, it is clear that in any business, there are instances of breach of policies and procedures and a small group of individuals have been known to mislead or misrepresent the business plan to prospective customers for selfish gains. The company acts sternly on such breaches and does not countenance any such breaches, including suspending and terminating IRs who act improperly.
